Hi! I’d like to offer you a way to not only gain better health but to earn some residual income while you do it. Get your body back into the balance nature intended it to have.

Turn Your Spare Time Into Cash. I had residual income that paid for the products I used within a month. My income is steadily increasing and I am healthier than I have been in a very long time. The money is green and good, especially before Christmas time. One of my favorite Mark Twain quotes has never been truer than it is today. He cautioned, “Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great people make you feel that you, too, can become great.” Positive people enjoy being around one another and their energy is contagious. These “great” people enjoy sharing in your success and want to network with you as well. Well, that is me, with you. Go to my website at
http://www.mylifeforce.net/secondchancenetwork and look around – free product, great opportunity, easy navigation and a wealth of nutrition information.

The Road to Financial Success. Multi-Level Marketing is already becoming a more and more accepted and popular form of marketing various products, particularly among the middle class who form the substantial portion of the population in any country. With no registration fee for
this opportunity, it is an attractive proposition for anyone who has an aptitude and skill for public relations and is prepared to work hard and be patient. Not only that but they have been fully accepting of me, a transgender person.

In my opinion, MLM companies should market products and services that are necessities. Let’s face it; we are in a tough economy. Your energy should be spent on bringing people in to your business and not worrying about how to meet a sales quota. Life Force is such a company.

I am a user of Life Force products and would be regardless of the residual income opportunity. I don’t believe there are too many 60 year olds who can hike 14,000 ft peaks and stay as active as I do – especially considering I have had a heart attack. I attribute a lot of my stamina, physical, mental and emotional to the Life Force flagship product – Body Balance. This is one of the reasons why I personally recommend a nutrition based MLM Company like Life Force because people need to get their bodies in balance. Go to my website at http://www.mylifeforce.net/secondchancenetwork to see everything Life Force has to offer. You owe it to yourself to at least take a look.

One of the best ways I’ve found to keep enhancing and fortifying my life, is by constructing a pipeline or network and surrounding myself with those people who share the same passion, and whose talents I can think and grow with. Can we find that together?

Hiking, in whatever form one might do it, is a good thing.  For me, it goes much deeper.  For me, it is my way to keep balance in my life along with the mere physical benefits of exercise.  On the latter, I just turned 60 in July and am very pleased to be only 10 lbs heavier than my high school graduation weight.  I carry much of that in my legs since I played soccer in college and for several years more in a semi-pro league in Hawaii.

But the real joy for me is far greater than the physical aspects of hiking.  I truly love nature and for many years this was my Sunday ritual – not going to church but rather I went hiking, giving thanks while I was out in the elements – truly appreciating the gifts I, and all of us, had been given.  Sometimes in the highly charged atmosphere we exist in day-to-day we take such gifts for granted.  During the work week I am glued to 3 computers while doing my support work.  It is intense but it pays the bills.  I try to get out first thing in the morning – my most favorite part of the day – things are coming to life, a fresh start – and ride my bike.  I have a 15 mile route along a river that is so invigorating. However, once the weekend is here, I turn off the computers and usually head to the mountains.

During the peak summer months, I take my hiking to a bit of an extreme.  I love to scale Colorado’s highest peaks.  There truly is nothing like making it to the top of one of these 14,000 ft mountains.  The world is at your feet and the view – in everything direction – is stunning.  And the sense of accomplishment is powerful.  If I can do this, then the issues I face down there seem trivial at the moment.  I am blessed to live in such a beautiful place and I am thankful for that but honestly, no matter where I have lived – be it Arizona, Iowa, Pennsylvania, New York or Hawaii, I have always found a way to get off the beaten path and open my eyes to the natural gifts we have all been blessed with daily.  Have you?

Prior to last weekend, I had only heard about Reiki in bits and pieces. I wasn’t sure exactly what it was nor if I was ready for a Reiki session. Well, I just had my first one and found it awesome. Thank you Jen – Silver Owl Healing Arts .
For those who don’t know, Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. In the case of my session, there was no actual touching – just a laying hands near various parts of the body.
My 15 minute session went 45 minutes and the revelations were so reaffirming for me. It was clear I have a oneness with nature – and all living things. I have always loved being outside, in particular hiking and exploring in the mountains. In fact, it is how I balance myself.

I had a violet aura surrounding me. My research shows that is a good thing. She saw a close connection with an eagle spirit and a horse spirit. There was an image, not quite an angel but more a fairie that she saw. I have a name I am researching now.  Oh my, so much more but I will not go into that here. If you are interested, please contact me. For me, this was truly a wonderful experience and one I will do again.

Ever had the fortunate circumstance where you were in the right place at the right time meeting the right people with the right answers? It does happen but not very often. I had such an experience.  I attended a health event put on by Spectrum Health Resources in Denver several weekends ago. As I talked with a number of the participants there, I developed an immediate connection with the ladies from Life Force.   Life Force is all about bringing balance to others one body at a time.  That hit home with me since I know how crucial keeping balance is for mental, physical and emotional well being.

I was very impressed with the astonishing health turnarounds I heard about but the proof for any such product is what it does for you and learning the science behind it.  On the latter, the fundamental focus is on ocean botanicals. Ocean botanicals have shown to contain the most dense and complete nutrition found on the planet.  Further research on my part proved to my satisfaction that this Life Force approach was sound and well worth trying.

Well let me tell you, it made an impact for me almost immediately.  I had a clarity of mind, an alertness that enhanced my positive outlook.  I take only 4 oz a day of their flagship product – Body Balance.  The benefits of Body Balance go way beyond my results and point to a much healthier existence for me.   As I approach my 60th birthday this summer, I want to be in the best condition of my life – in every way – you know, striving for balance.  I bike close to 30 miles per week and walk another 10.  I am becoming a member at my church. I constantly research online – an extremely good exercise for the mind.  Now I can add to that giving my body the right ingredients to stay healthy.

I feel a life force alive in me.  It is an exciting time.  Feel free to contact me if you would like further information on Life Force.  It is life altering.

You know, sometimes that is much easier said than done. But I will tell you from personal experience that doing everything in your power to remain positive, no matter what challenge life throws at you, is worth every ounce of effort you can muster. Stay away from the negative people, get centered, find your balance point and realize this is an opportunity to excel and move forward. Easy words? Not really but words I now must live by. At almost 60 years or age – and not feeling it at all, mentally, physically or emotionally, I find myself unexpectedly thrown into the job market by an American company sending jobs offshore. How disheartening is that?

Taking some deep breaths, knowing things happen for a reason, heading for my balance point – nature in general (like walks along the river – as in the image), the mountains in particular – I leave behind all the negative comments and opinions. I have learned through many such trials that it is easy to find others to add fuel to the negativity ember that was just sparked. I knew I could not let it turn into a burning rage. That would be too easy. I am the one in control of my thoughts and actions. No one else. Positive thoughts breed positive actions which breed positive outcomes through patience and perserverance.

I look at this change in my life as a new beginning, a chance to start afresh with new challenges. I firmly believe that one of the keys to anti-aging, or just staying young in mind and spirit, is being challenged. Keeping the brain, the spirit, the body challenged is a good thing — but only a good thing if they are dealt with in a positive mindset. Negativity will age you, wear you out and make you look older than your years. I don’t have all the answers but I know my new-found unemployment status will not last long and I will be a better person for having worked through it.

April is here and change is upon us.  I like to see change as a positive force – in my life, in nature, in the universe.  It represents a time of renewal, opening heart and mind, relishing the spring air, the smell after a rain, just becoming aware of what is new.  But sometimes, there are bumps along the way – for instance, this first week of April I received notice that my position was being offshored due to cost reductions.  And to add salt to that wound, the resource I had been training for 3 months as my supposed backup so I could take a vacation, is actually the person taking over for me.  However, it through our trials that we blossom into something new.  I am uncertain of the future but trust that things do happen for a reason and after all it is the season of change.  This has always been my favorite time of year and I see no reason for that to change now.

First day of spring 2010 on the South Platte

Spring is my favorite time of the year – not just the warmer temps from a cold winter but more the aspect of everything coming to life. There is an enjoyment to watching young buds emerging thru the snow or just popping up everywhere. It is a time of renewal – for nature and for me.
I was excited to know spring was finally here when all of a sudden, in a short time span we were rocked with 2 snowstorms – each dumping a foot of fresh powder on us. The snow was beautiful (even better for me since I don’t have to drive in it. A real advantage in working from home!). While it was a bit disappointing – the concept of spring with so much snow on the ground can easily dampen the spirits – there was hope knowing this would give the needed water to everything lieing dormant for the winter. Exploding life is just around the corner.
I took off on the first day of spring to take a hike to celebrate. The morning was biting cold. I wondered several times if I should turn back – obviously had not dressed warm enough. Nope, I kept a steady pace as I walked up Waterton Canyon – soaking in the beauty around me. The skies were crystal blue. The sun slowly made its way into the canyon, ice cycles started dripping, snow became softer under foot and the wind was less fearce. By the time I reached the top – 6 miles later – I had the jacket open and knew this was a special day. Spring was here – slowly waking from its winter sleep.

Even though the weather isn’t really condusive to outdoor activities, I can always get out for a walk. From my new condo, I have a 3 mile loop that parallels the South Platte river. After having my silent heart attack, I make a conscience effort to exercise everyday – whether that be using my Wii Balance Board, riding my mountain bike (weather permitting) or walking along the Platte. I believe staying active, both physically and mentally, are key to staying young. In fact, I have written an article, published in 2008, about that very thing. I concentrated that article more on keeping yourself mentally challenged and mentally alert as keys to anti-aging.

Woman Riding Horse Sculpture along South Platte River Trail

The sculpture in the image at the right is along side the South Platte river trail. It conjures up memories of how this river must have been used many years ago. One can only imagine . . .

It has been almost 2 years since leaving Arizona – I was in Tucson for a year. The heat was just too much for me, in spite of everyone saying ‘but it is a dry heat’! I did make a consistent effort to get out and hike – always in the early morning to beat the heat. After getting back to Colorado, I didn’t think much about my time in Arizona until I started gathering images for my Second Chance Photography website. In hindsight, those were good days. The people I met, the friends I made, the places I visited, the hikes I took – it was all wonderful. I smiled as I recalled those times while working on my Arizona images. Interesting that during the time I lived there I obsessed about the heat but now in looking back, I let the great times and people slip through my conscious awareness while I was there. I will not let that happen again – thank you for everything Arizona.

Lori Salisbury & Chris Wells

One of my longtime landscape photography inspirations has been John Fielder.  His work is phenomenal. The more I researched his background and methods, the more impressed I was with his work.  He makes one proud to be from Colorado.  Thank you John.

After discovering I had had a silent heart attack during a routine physical, I worked hard to get back into the kind of shape to hike.  I got there and decided to take advantage of this Second Chance to explore my love for photography.  After finding my camera (Canon EOS 400D) on craigslist.com, I got some wonderful intial direction from Alexis Clement my photography instructor at Red Rocks Community College.  Thank you Alexis.

Photography is just one way to celebrate the arts.  While I can’t paint or sketch, I hope to be able to learn photography well enough to show my appreciation for the gifts we have been given.   Art always tells a story and I learned that initially from an artist whose work  I fell in love with on first site, Lori Salisbury Gallery.  Thank you Lori.
